Looking at the website, it seems more that there will be live traditional Czech and Slovak music and events for the day. PLUS, people will be attending in their national dress. What better time to go kilted??

It is going to be crowded any weekend during the warmer months. As the last Beergarden left in the city and being reasonably priced, it is a BIG hit with the college crowd.

I don't think that there are enough establishments for a bar crawl in that immediate neighborhood, if any. Astoria is a very family oriented part of the city.

Sorry I did not look at the events for that weekend. I would say we should put the beer garden off till a weekend when it is more open. With an event going on it will be to crazy. I use to live in the area there are a few pubs but not the best, so I would say we change the plan.

I can't get any of the images or cams to work.

Still, if Di says it looks like fun...I'm in.

Geez, Keith, you and the damn restroom thing. You should write a Zagat's guide to Manhattan's best johns.

The day may come when you thank me for my vast knowledge of NYC bathrooms.

Keith, the bathroom in Gulliver's alone was worth the visit!

Nice to see you back on here, Professor. All done with classes for the summer?

Yes, thank God. Looking forward to the least-hectic summer in years.

Speaking of which, I have a proposition for the group, in addition to our present planning for a pub crawl: the Bonnie Brae Scottish festival, being held just outside Newark, on June 7th. Too convenient to pass up, I should think. What do you think?

Now back to your regular scheduled planning...
