Except for the prohibition on alcohol (no beer??? ), this looks like lots of fun.
Now, as to the 24th ...are we doing an afternoon with the Czechs and Slavs at the Beer Garden or striking out on a pub crawl? Either works for me...both would be fine, but that might mess up church on Sunday AM!

Still, if Di says it looks like fun...I'm in.
Reg, can you see the beer list or not?

Yes, I am planning to go in any case, but I figure it will be more fun if we can raise a rabble.
In the meantime, what's the consensus for the 24th? I have to say, I'm more interested in hitting some Irish places than invading eastern Europe.

Yup. I can see the beer list just fine.
Oh, the irony of that.
I like Keith's suggestion for D.B.A.
The NJ thing is another story. I'd love to (it's ridiculously close to me) but there are two other competing events that day. I won't know for sure until the week before.

I can't see any info on the link as to how to get to the park for the Bonnie Brae. Are there directions anywhere? Is it accessible by train or bus?

I don't know that it is. As I recall, it's pretty remote. Of course, my previous memories of trips there include both blazing heat and then being in a monsoon that got cars bogged down to the axles.
As for the alcohol thing, it's on the grounds of a residential treatment center for boys. Since the boys are assigned to clean up after the event, they don't want them getting into anything they shouldn't, especially since they are recovering from substance abuse. That being said, I think there are a lot of red cups in evidence in the parking lot, IIRC. Of course, it's been a few years.

For the 24th, I agree with Glenn. DBA looks like a great place to start a crawl. That single malt menu is second only to St. Andrew's! What time?

Okay; I didn't see the "no beer" stipulation at Bonnie Brae (although I should have assumed, given the context of the event). Screw that, then.
Well, if we are leaning toward a short crawl, shall we lay out an itinerary of, say, three places? Or should we just meet somewhere and take it from there?
