Harpenden Highland Gathering 2008

Just to give this thread a bit of a nudge - I'd hate it for kilties within reach of Harpenden, Herts to say later, "Oh, we didn't know the Gathering was taking place!"

For the third year running, a group of us from X Marks will be attending so come and join us. Further details will be relayed to you as they become known - but the date is set: 13th July 2008.

Photos Robert? Rest assured there will be photos galore!

Sadly Hamish we will not be able to attend this year, as David does not arrive in the country, till the 13th July, so will be sad to miss that this year

But Une, dear Une. Surely you don't have to have David over here for you to come up from Hythe - do you?!!!!!!!!!! Why, if I was not staying the weekend with friends in Harpenden, I'd drive over and pick you up myself. The Harpenden Gathering will not be the same at all without your presence!

Ah bless you Hamish, l will miss seeing you all again, but also David is sending the children over, on the 1st of July, two weeks ahead of him & Eli so l will be busy doing my Auntie dutys.

Sorry to hear you won't be there this year Une, and without wishing to labour the point, couldn't Auntie bring the children out for the day? i'm sure they enjoyed it last year.

I have booked return flights on Easyjet from Glasgow to Luton. It will necessitate overnight stays at a hotel at Glasgow Airport but while I'm away all day on Sunday Ann will be able to get all her meals there and get a visit from her friend who lives nearby. This should hopefully give me an opportunity to spend some hours with you all at Harpenden.

By doing so, I have saved £2.50 on the admission charge which I intend to spend instead at the scrumpy cider stall !!
