I posted Chris a link to this thread. Hopefully she'll see there is interest in her work and be able to take a small break from all her leather crafting to put up a basic site.
I've seen more of her work online as well and she's good and more than reasonable considering how much work goes into one of these.
Incredibly unique and beautiful soprran! Quite a brilliant piece of art, really.
I have to ask- how much does it hold, and is it easy to get your hand into?
I can put my chunky Motorola Boost walkie/phone in its case, all my keys, a business card case for my cards and UKs cards, a pen, and my Canon SD700IS also in its case in the sporran easily. My one request for Chris was that I would be able to get my hand into the bottom to get my keys if it were empty. More than meets my expectations. The cheap Chinese 'sporran' that I have is so thin that I have to tip it upside down to get stuff off the bottom. The Kidder "Inverness" looks fine but holds stuff oddly and I don't trust the magnetic latch. The Balistic Nylon Nightstalker from Stillwater is fine when I really need space, (once I cut those damned silly tassels off) but it looks too much like a fannypack from the early 90s for me. My own home made silver fox sporran is likewise tough to get my hand into. This hand carved Hurst model is the best of all worlds for me. I may end up ordering another later in the wedding season in black for more formal wear (must match the combat boots after all!)
