    Sportkilt?

I was thinking about getting a summer kilt, something to beat around in that will be cool to wear in the heat. I saw the "Boulder Kilt" in USMC digital woodland cammo and the US Army digital cammo and it looks like either of these would fit the bill.

Does anyone wear a SK, and have any comments?

    thanks

I just bought a SportKilt last month. I love it so far, the pleats don't stay very long, but I have an original, not the camo one. So yeah, I'd recommend an SK.

It keeps you cool. It's great, but as mentioned it doesn't keep the pleats.

I had a Boulder---and hated it. On the other hand, I've got several "plain old" SportKilts that I quite like as pajama kilts, or brutally hot weather kilts. The newer ones with the fell sewn down (they call it sewn down pleats, whatever) aren't half bad.

I have the Boulder Kilt in ACU pattern. I really like it and wear it whenever I can. Have to watch the wind though. It doesn't take much of a breeze to answer the question the hard way. My daughter found that out at the Richmond Highland Games. Oops.

If you wear a kilt regimental for hiking the soft, pajama-like, texture is easier on your fire helmet.

The least expensive SportKilts are pleated "to the gather"...if you want pleats, custom length, belt loops, you're up into the same price range as a USA Kilts casual model.

Can't hurt to buy one SportKilt and see what you think of it.

Pics in my galleries if that helps you any.
