    Velcro position

    Hi!
I'm not sure if anybody already placed this question (I couildn' find it at least). I hit to this question while reading instructions for X-Kilrt. Why the velcro is placed on the uper edge of aprons and not on the waistband? That would be more logical for me. Any special reason?

I'm not really sure about your question, but I place the velcro just below the waistband mainly so that I don't have to stitch through all that folded fabric, which is tough with heavy cotton blend material. The velcro goes right where you'd place a buckle on a traditional kilt.

So, placing velcro on the waistband fabric first and then attaching waistband to the rest of the kilt would do the trick (easeir to sew and not seen on front).

    Thanks

That should work. Be sure that the waistband is secured by multiple lines of stitches.
