Made first sporran!

Nice job! I used some lighter weight leather from a deerhide I bought on ebay to make my sporran. Now I am going to have to "purse" shop at Goodwill. Thanks for the idea!

Yeah, well my buddy and I were interested in making them (mostly to save him some dollars)--he's trying to buy his own Scottish attire since he started doing Scottish Country Dancing with our group. So I figured I should experiment by myself before I started helping him make one. Might do better monetarily to check ebay or go with a budget sporran from a vendor/sponser here... at least for a knock-around daywear sporran. (That is, unless you find a good leather purse at a thrift-store like I did.)
