    White Gloves

My belived is going to several VERY formal events in the next few months and needs new white gloves. Most of the ones we have are from local formal wear shops and are a cheep polyester. He has two sets of some heavy cotton gloves with a wrist snap that he loves but are quite worn and a bit yellowed.

The nice cotton ones are what I am looking for. I tried our local military base but it has a very small PX and does not carry them. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to where to look?

    Thanks!

    Julie

I would give a good music store a look. Many carry the cheap gloves that high school bands are outfitted with, but occasionally one can find nice, formal, heavy cotton gloves. I know many musicians who play silver trumpets who won't handle their instrument without gloves.

Sgt. Grit has the USMC ones (scroll to the bottom of the page). JC orders his three or four sets at a time so he always has a 'virgin' set if he needs them. These are the nylon ones, though.

I second this... my high school band director was one of the fellows who would not handle his silver trumpet without gloves.

    Jeffers Handbell Supply carries gloves.
    here

I prefer the Ultima II gloves because it has the reinforced places but you can see them.
Don't buy the ones with the dots.

Cotton Performance Gloves are nice and you can get them by the dozen.
