A fair guess, but no. That picture shows the hem stitching which is about 20/inch as opposed to the rest of the seams which are about 14/inch.

It's funny how tastes differ! The contrasting stitching is one of the reasons I bought it! I love that look in general, and especially on this kilt.

My denim UK has a nice orange stitching too it which I also like. It's not quite as obvious, but it does stand out.

That's why they have horse races, right? I usually don't mind contrasting stitches, but white isn't my color of choice. Orange or gold would have been fine.

And I discovered that the thread isn't cotton. It is apparently polyester which doesn't accept coloring agents well. What was invisible when done has faded to a blue color that actually works better, IMHO, than the complete cover up I was going for.

Every time I see this thread title, I think it's "Blackadder Kilt" and I think, "Whoa, there's a Blackadder tartan? Where can I get a Blackadder kilt?"

I am pretty much sold on this kilt, the white stitching even strikes my fancy. I want to order one but I don't see any sizing advice anywhere which makes me wonder whether I should order my utilikilt size (36) or my jeans size (33). Those of you that have these kilts, what have you found?

Before I ordered mine I asked about sizing. What you ask for is what you get. If you want an actual 36" then order 36". Mine was right within a quarter inch. I used a tape measure at the snugness level I wanted and ordered accordingly. The fit is great.
