Sgian Dubh blades and price point

I'm working on a couple of Sgian Dubhs just now using some beautiful Damascus blades made by Howard Clark and these are really amongst the best made blades that I've seen.

Kind of a blade oriented person myself. Depending on the maker obviously $200 could be a steal.

It's really just a matter of personal preference. If you want something that looks the part I'm sure you can find it. If you want a functional blade there's that too, and if you want something that says "I own fortune 500 companies" that's out there as well. Match your need and go from there.

Wood you consider an all wood {bog wood} blackwood whatever you like alternative I have seen a couple of these and with your wood skill it might just be a new market for you

I went with the $200 price point, which I hope to buy when I find one I really like, though I rather got lost on Rab's site and maybe drooled a bit on the keyboard...

Anyway...I bought this one on eBay recently, simply because I wanted one and though I paid closer to $20 for it, it was the only one I found with a 'sharp' blade and it certainly is!



It's not too cheap looking and a decent weight, though like I said, it's a filler for now...
