Nice Shelving Unit.
I do a lot of work using cases of 8-1/2 x 11 plain paper. Printouts for different organizations and whatnot. I simply used framing timber to construct a rack that is the depth of the long side of these cartons, and the verticals spaced three cartons wide. horizontal front & rear bar with rails spaced just under the carton width in between. Came out looking like a miniature pallet rack, only made of timber instead of steel. I have set this up along one wall of my basement. The front bar allows me to label what box belongs where in the system. I printed in horizontal mode on sheets of paper the contents of the box, then pasted it on the end of the carton..... Colour coded.. Green for finance records. blue for magazines that we wish to keep for future use, red is for reference books that do not fit in the library. Brown is spare dishware, and serving utensils. Orange is out of season clothes. Yellow is the service manuals for the appliances, and electronic toys. Now when the spouse wants me to retrieve something it is real easy.
