CHANGE OF DATE: Single Malt Whiskey made in No. California? Let's see
Nor Cal Rabble Distillery Tour 06/29/08
I was recently surprised to find out that there is a distillery located at the old Naval Air Station, in Alameda, California, giving tours, and producing "Single Malt Whiskey" (their spelling) as well as their better known Hanger One Vodka, absinthe and other products. I figured who better than us to get to the bottom of this!
I propose a kilted gathering on June 22, to attend the 1:00 tour and tasting. Details here:

No reservations required, but they asked if we are a group of eight or more to give them a heads-up.
Best regards,
Jake

I'll be interested to hear what the rabble thinks of the product, Jake. They say that they've gone light on the peated barley.

Aaarrrgh, we'll be in Minnesota for a wedding, otherwise wild horses wouldn't be able to keep me away. Thanks for the invite Jake!

The F-H.C.A.G. and I are in. I need to work on getting babysitting for the kids for that day.
Cheers

We'll definitely attend. Maybe we'll get lucky and get to see the Mythbusters destroy something while we're there.

Some of us rabble are less "peatally" (is that a word?) inclined than others!
Be well,

Hey Jake - even with the high gas prices, that might be worth an eight hour drive! Can I sleep it off on your sofa?
