Being a professional muscian is a touchy thing when you're invited to a party : People hope you will be bringing your instrument, but no one dares to ask you to for they know you usually get payed for doing that. Just like you dont invite a plumber friend saying : "Hey ! BTW, bring your tools, our kitchen sink has a leak !)
But when your host begs you : "Oh please do wear your kilt...", well that really makes your day.
