I was lucky enough to make it to Bellingham for the first time. It was a great weekend. I got in late on Saturday and competed in the games on Sunday, so I did not get to see everything. Luckily the games were next to the great field and I got to see and hear most of the pipe bands. Hearing that many pipes playing in unison during the mass band was incredible. Amazing grace brought tears to the eyes of most. This was my first games competition, and thanks to a great coach I took first overall and my brother took third overall. Bellingham and Ferndale, thanks for hosting us. See you all, and maybe get to meet some of you in person at many of the Washington and Oregon gatherings this season.
