Given the short notice and flexibility required for scheduling this turned into a great breakfast between Bobbie, Steve and I. Mimi's serves a great breakfast and on Sunday morning we had most of the place to ourselves which gave us a great, relaxed environment to talk.
Bobbie and Steve were great to talk with. A face to face chat is so much better than over the phone. But above all they are just excellent people and I really enjoyed the chance to meet you both. Thanks for making such an effort to stop in.
I enjoyed their first hand accounts of Kilt Kamp and we had great conversations about kilts and leather as well as Steve's adventures in my small hamlet of Jefferson. I'm now in possession of one of the new X-Marks the Scot Badges. This is truly a beautiful piece of work made of solid cast pewter.
Steve was carrying his own personal museum of kilts in the car so on the way out I was treated to a personal viewing of one of Barb's Kilts in Highland Granite, A Freedom Kilt Casual and Dress model and to top it all of.... an Isle of Sky. I swear there were harps when he revealed it.
As I drove home from breakfast I was once again amazed at the diverse backgrounds and the depth of knowledge and experience represented by this clan at X-Marks (and wishing I had gotten one more of those Blueberry muffins to go).
Thanks again Bobbie and Steve!
