Welcome to the Rabble!
from Sunny Southern California, just outside the back gate of Camp Pendleton!
I don't much go for the costume or renfair type of wearing the kilt. But - Each person finds their own particular style of kilting. Our style photos show some good examples.

Welcome. I'm of the persuasion that what you like (and your wife) is what will work. Dress it up how you like and what's comfortable for you. Just be prepared for the kilt police... lol.

Welcome from West Virginia!
Renn boots aren't my style, but they are handsome. If both you & your wife like them, and you're comfortable, then wear them.

I've seen similar boots to what you described worn to very good effect with the kilt. I can't think of a single reason not to.
And Welcome!

Hey!! I have a pair of those that I wear on the weekends! Man, those thigs are comfortable!
Hay Birddog- welcome! From another Rocky Mountain kiltie! Yeah, I would say it's perfectly appropriate to wear your boots with your kilt. Why not?

I don't either, except for festivals and such. I actually prefer to go bare foot, but that's not allowed most places, so mocs are the next best option.

Practicality is better'n looks. But, long boots look good with the kilt; so, you win both ways. Hello and welcome from Houston, TX.
