I remember Diane. We love the Boise group. They "make" our workshop and ball. Tell them all to prepare for March 12th. It is our 30th. The musicians will be Muriel Johnstone and Callum McKenna, and we have some hot teacher, one of whom is Muriel's husband. Big doings in bridge town.

What a small world!
I just spoke to Diane and she remembers both you and your husband. (Apparently he took lots of pictures, had a wonderful conversation with her and had lots of medals all over his jacket.)
She also informed me that T&G are all set to go in March and that they are going to be inviting all of the Portland group to their St. Andrew's day ball this year!

What is the date of the St. Andrews Ball? We annually host a St. Andrews party at our house on the first Saturday in December, right after the Army / Navy game. (Go Navy, beat Army!), so if it is that weekend, we must regretfully decline. Otherwise, we will try to be there.

I have no idea of the date, but I don't think it will be on the day.
As I recall, last year it was about a week afterwards.
Once I have the date I will let you know.
P.S.
That is a fantastic picture of you two!

but if you make it, the first pint's on me!
Yes, Alan, this time you've got the date right

We have to be there for the evening on the 31st to get registered and be at the dance, but by evening they mean 5pm, so I don't know that I would make it to the NorCal rabble's kilt night on that night.
Diane and I might be heading out so that we arrive on the 30th, though. So if you guys had anything going on that night we'd be able to make it.
The whole Asilomar event is so tucked in that there's very little time to do anything but dance.
It will be great fun, though!
Jamie and I would have loved to come to Asilomar this year, but due to finances and still feeling a bit intimidated, we decided to hold out until next year or the year after. Maybe we can come and see you down there on the 30th? Where are you flying into-because if you are flying into San Francisco, San Jose or Oakland-heck, we've got a guest room!
PM me or Panache...
Be well,

Well, it's all finalised. The flights are paid for and the cheque written out. Diane and I will be heading out to Asilomar to have a fantastic wee holiday. I got myself a nice pair of dance shoes I am happy with and I'm studying the crib sheets.
I can't wait. (Nor can I wait to go as a full-dancer next year and take part in some of the classes!)

Arlen,
We look forward to you and Diane staying with us on the 30th here in San Jose. I hope we might be able to get a few of the Rabble together here for you to meet them.
Cheers
