Yeah, go with what makes the wife happy. If it's different, maybe you'll start a new trend... or claim it's something only your clan does. "Uh yeah... Mac____ is known for wearing these boots."

    Thumbs up

from another El Paso County kiltie. Always happy to see a new member from Colorado and especially from this area.

Of course you can wear your boots with your kilt, just be sure to match the leathers. Brown boots? brown sporran and belt. It gives a more polished look to even a casual outfit.

There was this movie about Scotland with a bunch of guys wearing kilts and this famous actor guy Mel somebody and he was always running around waving his sword and crying, "FREEDOM!!" So methinks its okay to wear whatever you please with your kilt and even to push the edges.

Me, I don't wear longboots with my kilts - but only because I've yet to find a pair of long boots I both liked and could afford at the same time.

I have a pair of New Zealand sheepskin boots that I wear with a casual kilt in the winter.

Steve - I bought these while I was visiting NZ from Egmont Tanneries. They do not appear to have an on-line store, but here's a link with their contact information. http://www.newplymouthnz.com/Livingi...actoryShop.htm

Perhaps an e-mail inquiry would work.

I love the look of New Rocks, but I can't abide the zippered sides. I almost got the short brown ones sold on the UK site, but they have those d@mn zippers!
