I have an FC kilt in the Clergy tartan. I do like the fabric in the 16 oz. version. It has the feel of wool, but I don't worry about getting it messed up, especially in bad weather. It is far more comfortable than wool when it's hot out.

As metioned above, though, in bright light, the colors are BRIGHT! It looks more purple than blue then. Almost as if I were a bishop.

I also have a Sportkilt in the tartan, which is far more traditional looking. I say that because the coloring is close to the tank I have in it. It is light and great for hot weather.
