This is a paint of a San juan Sacatepuez women wearin a traditional "corte" (skirt) and a Huipil (shirt).
you can see that the corte has the same patern that my kilt. In Guatemala they made like in Scotland, a patern for a region. Then scotland tartan mutate to be a family distintion but in guatemala it is still regional.
San Juan Sacatepequez :
San Pedro Sacatepequez: (very similar)

That is how a "corte" looks.
i feel Im broking some "social rules" here. I expect to not be killed by furious womens. lol

That is beyond cool. It's a real Guatemalan tartan kilt.
This rocks.

Thanks Alan
I apreciate your opinion (your instructions help me a lot in my XKilt and in this too)
BTW, more traditional kilts are much easier to iron!
that is a good reason to make an extra effort with knife pleats and plaids!
Now is time to rock concert! tomorow I want to finish the kilt.
Salu!

Very well done sir! The pattern works very well with the kilt you have made!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
