			A New Sporran

Recently, not only have I been adding to my Kilt collection (2 more on order from SWK ), I have found myself wearing them more & more. But this has caused me a "small problem" ( SPORRANS). When I was wearing them primarily for re enacting etc, I was able to make my own sporrans BUT I found that the styles I created did not reflect the "Contemporary,Modern" look I wanted, when I wear my kilts as every day attire.I started looking for what I had in mind (yes I have been in contact with our own custom makers & will, as $$$$ become avail. I will have one made.)
Well I have found, IMHO, a GREAT Sporran, to fill the gap. Not only is it "contemporary" in looks (IMHO) BUT is VERY reasonably priced -- $75.00

 HERE it is

 DETAILS

 A. STYLE - Ancient Style Pouch Sporran

 B. SIZE
 1. Normal "load out" (as pictured above ) 7"x 9"
(the "load out" was a wallet,a $$$ pouch, a check book, a pack of cigs, a lighter, & keys.)
 2. Expanded "load out" ( crammed with the above + a pipe, tobacco pouch + the kitchen sink = only 8 1/2"x 9"
  Here is a pic

 C. HIGHLIGHTS of the LOOK
 1. Basket Weave Donnie calls this pattern "Sgian Dubh" (note this is a new pattern he is offering & is not pictured on his site)
 2. Cigar box clasp

 WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY
This Sporran FAR EXCEEDED my expectations :the weave: The Basket weave is very distinct, the clasp is heavy duty & well attached, the lacing is very well done. the leather is good weight & quality ( the "dye is very uniform)

 CUSTOMER SERVICE
FANTASTIC !!!!! Donnie is VERY good to work with. He went the extra mile to communicate. PLUS He went to work immediately & created the sporran in 2 days & shipped.

 Conclusion
IMHO, if you are looking for a great, moderately $$$ Sporran, from a good person to work with I would suggest you check Donnie's site out

Man, I love that closure system. Very interesting.
