    A tour of the stills.

Our distiller gave us a great tour despite having worked hard the previous evening for an open house for hundreds of people.

Storage tanks at the other end of the hangar.

M@A's friend Matt gets some questions answered.

Absinthe is one of their specialties.

We all had a wonderful time, finishing up with supper at a local restaurant. Looking forward to meeting some of you again next weekend at Monterey.

Wow, Kent, you're fast at the posting! It took us a little longer to get home and recover enough to upload the pics.

St. George's/Hangar One advertises the great view of the city skyline. Although the air quality is still poor, we did eventually get a decent look at the city, but first we had to get these hams out of the way:

Now here's the beautiful city by the bay:

Once the tasting started, we got veeeerrry serious about it:

But don't worry, we get pretty silly later....

    More to come...

    Be well,

One of the vodka's was a Citron, made with this bizzarre fruit, called Buddhist's Hand.

    Here, Farlander studies a specimen:

    And tastes the spirit:

After we'd done about half the tasting, they allowed us into the hangar for an abbreviated tour, during which we all learned (and shared) some interesting information (Did you know that 80 degrees Celcius is 176 degrees Farenheit? Did you care? )

The men enjoyed standing next to the stills-beautiful hammered copper things they were:

    Mischief coming, after supper...

    Be well,

As I mentioned, we had tasted quite a bit before the tour.

I thought I'd get a good look into one of the stills:

But, they wouldn't let me crawl inside

So, I found something else I could fit into...

    Apparently, I'm a bad influence:

Last tasting was the absinthe, and it led to a little mixing it up (wait, this isn't my husband....Oh, well, he's somebody's anyway)

Just a little more to come...

Panache tried the absinthe as well...look how he emptied the bottle!

Farlander's lovely wife looks on in amusement at our antics (she's usually the one making trouble )

On our way out of the facilities-an even merrier bunch than on our way in:

We reconvened at a nice restaurant with an outdoor patio for a late lunch and a little dark brew before all heading our separate ways.

Thanks to Monkey@Arms for such a great idea, here sitting with the newly met demolay1310:

And walkerk and Madalyn looking content:

That's pretty much all I've got (everyone breathes a sigh of relief)

    Be well,
