Excellent choice. It is fancy enough to look good to almost Prince Charlie levels of formality. While I would not wear that sporran with a t-shirt, I would wear it with a polo shirt (though not with hose scrunched down).

For a reasonably priced casual/daywear sporran I would look at the offerings of Buzz Kidder. They are all priced at $65 or lower and are very well made. Several of our sponsors carry some or all of their line.
