I had been looking around to find some results pages just so I honestly knew where I stood with my numbers. I have seen the postings on where I should be if I want to move up from a C class to a B class and stuff like that, but I really wanted to see everyone's numbers. If I'm able to make it out to the Tuscon games in November, the only thing I wanted to make sure about is that I had a good time, and didn't look like a complete fool when I was doing it. I've been practing for over a month or so now and even in this short amount of time I've seen some great improvements in my numbers.

I wanted to post the link to this page for everyone else that might be new so they can compare the actual scores from everyone that competed over the last 8 years in the Southwestern States.

An even better resource is the NASGA database. It has results from Games all across the country (world even) and will give you a better idea on some good numbers. It may not have all the athletes from every game (usually for SAAA events I am the only one who enters scores) but it has athletes from all over, from all classes.

You can search by name of athlete, event thrown, Games event, or athletic class. If you're considering doing Tucson I would look at the C class numbers from the Tucson Games last year (you'll see my name there too, I won) also look up the Amateur C class, and see where your scores land. Don't worry about being in the top 20 or even 50, if you're scores are comparable to even the first 120 or so then I think you'll do fine. (there are currently about 150 C's listed for this year)

Holy Crap! How did you find out that there are about 150 people already registered in the C class? I tried to find that info and I couldn't. Isn't that way too many competitors? Wouldn't that about a week with that many people competing?

Oh no! I didn't mean there are 150 competitors registered for the next games! I meant there are currently about 150 C class athletes from all over that have input scores into the NASGA database.

Man, a flight of 150 throwers... we'd need to put on eight hour festivals every weekend for a month to get through them.

Oh thank (insert diety here). I thought I'm glad that I totally misunderstood. 150 C class competitors at one game sounded extremely intimidating. I understand now though.
