Are you really certain? Doing a quick little merchants check it seems that they are different legal entities. I'd place my wild guess they are an independent merchant trying to survive the changing market. Their Web is from FDS Developments Ltd. and they are hosted in the UK.

Heritage of Scotland (Gold Bros) by contrast is hosted in Orlando Fl US (and the web was, my educated guess, sourced from India).

    Absolutely positive.
They have so many chains, Ebay stores and individual stores now that it's hard to keep track, but I've ordered from both and, when contacting 'customer services' got referred to the same office for Heritage of Scotland and Pride of Scotland.'

To Clarify who owns pride of scotland..

    Pride of Scotland
    Heritage of Scotland
    Scotland Shop
Royal Mile Cashmere ( closing down for last two years )
    Wee gift Shop
    John Morrison Kiltmakers

These are the shops are all owned by the Golds Bros tat empire. I asked one of their employees this morning and he said they are all owned by them or by theirs brothers, nephews, cousins etc, etc. Im sure thats what he said with his thick polish accent.

I bought a 8 yard Royal Stewart kilt from them last week £49 , I am very pleased with it , I even wore it to the Queens Garden Party ! at Hollyrood Palace on Tuesday.
I prefer casual kilts because you can whash them your self with out the hassel of dry cleaners etc, I did see soume afull tat kilts for £20 which I certinly would not buy.
not every one can aford exspensive kilts with the crap low wage economy in Scotland.
Gold brouthers are no different to most UK company's like the TV manufactures designed in the UK but made in China !

I bought a Pride of Scotland off Ebay a while back. Perfectly satisfied; great Kilt, good quality, and delivered in two weeks.

sure feels like a Gold Bro shop

Dropped by the shop the other day and it sure feels like a Gold Bro store. Same tatics: cheezy music blasting outside the store and loads of tat. I will drop by and recheck but I think that was one of the stores were they had the kilt on backwards on the display model. As for their prices with a bit of looking around the city one can find gently used rental 16 oz wool, 8 yard kilts for 120-140 pounds at some of the rental shops - and they will even have their kiltmaker tweak the kilt for you.

thank you to all those who gave me suggestions as to were to shop while in Scotland. With H.R., the Wollen Mill, St Kida, G.T. etc.. this town is a kilt candy shop, once one gets by the tat shops.

Just to clarify Forrestermoderns comment that the Gold brothers are English and not Scots, in fact "gold bros" is and alias for the Singh family who actually hail from India. However this shouldnt be a factor -what is a factor is

    Shoddy goods

If you look at their Ebay accounts not very good feedback and constantly changing EBAY ids

    Copyright violation

most shamefully turning a world heritage site into a "Tartanarama" market.
and now it seems misleading customers about ownership of businesses

heres the website that list most of the businesses
