With the close up of the tartan, my opinion is the hose probably look great in person with the kilt as it will bring out the red and white stripes to the eye. I have seen the red & white hose with this tartan on a local gent and it looks great in person. The color mutations of the electronic world do not do it justice.

    A A Good look.

That may help, but not sure... I understand the whole Blackwatch angle, but the majority of their hose are covered with spats, so the red isn't so dominant. Like I said, it's just one opinion, but it doesn't work for me with so much red against the tartan.

I like that kilt, and I liked diced hose, but those two just don't go together very well...

In my opinion, I think diced hose go best with dark tartans. Anything Black Watch-based looks good with diced hose. Also, maybe you could try try solid red flashes with the diced hose instead of the tartan flashes.

Bradley, I don't think that is Black Watch.

I think the outfit looks smashing, Glen, and the hose and kilt seem to go well to my eye. There doesn't necessarily have to be red or white in the kilt for red/white diced hose to go well with it, as the Black Watch soliders can prove.

I think those hose would go well with your Graham kilt, as well.

Looks great. I think if the lighting was a little brighter we might be able to see the red better. I think they would also go well with your Dress MacDonald.
I wish I could find sales like that!!

I will endeavor to get better pictures, it's tough with a timer at night to get good shots.

That's the point; diced hose not supposed to "go" with the tartan per se.

I think they look great, Glen -- it's a great statement that few are willing to make today.
