Or maybe, by the 22nd Century common sense will have prevailed and mankind will accept our bodies as our Creator made them and there will be no further need for the textile industry. In an effort to stop the ice from melting we'll return to dressing in the convenience of the Garden of Eden....without shame. There will be museums displaying the clothing mankind once wore. People will visit and giggle at the insanity of it all.

On a more serious note
We are all ready seeing modern updates on the traditional kilt and kit.
Alex (cessna152touser) has a tradional kilt whose wool tartan has been sprayed or impregnated with a water/stain repellent.
Steve (The Wizard of BC) makes tradtional kilts with hidden pockets.
Jerry (Sciuropterus) designed and had produced a sporran that took the traditional design and updated it with practical comparents and modern materials.
Cold Steel used to make a sgian dubh out of tough modern materials using modern manufacturing methods that held to the style of the traditional ones (sorry folks that model is discontinued)
The future is now
Cheers

But the tartan of my wool kilt will be out of date:
it's the Twenty-First Century tartan from Geoffrey...

Ok, but I'm still wearing my kilt. Perhaps by the 22nd Century men won't need this forum to have the courage to wear the kilt.

"Common sense" is as much an oxymoron as "miltary intelligence" or "jumbo shrimp" or "free gift" in an advertisement.

No, it'll be an historical classic, just as the XMarks will be.
