My second attempt at kilt-making: X-Kilt

As promised, here I show the X-Kilt that I made based on Alan H's X-kilt manual. Thank you Alan H!

The fabric is just under 4 yds and made of polyester/cotton blend. It has a simple plaid pattern on it.

You can also see the plaid design on the fabric (which I did not factor into the pleating) but I tried to align them as much as I could.

Question:

What are your thoughts on the width of the apron, is it too wide for an Xkilt?
(It's a little above 10". I've a 37" waist; 41" rump.)

EDIT: A request for advice.

I have a problem with the lower left side of the apron (on my left leg). It keeps wanting to curl up. I've already attempted to extend its A-shaping. That helped a bit, but still not enough. And I'm already going beyond the inch and half recommended A shape offset away from the "rectangle." Any advice?
