I voted 16 oz F & K, but any of the choices are good to be honest.

I would commit to 4-5 yrds of the PV. The wool is out of my price range for now.

There are several kilt makers on our forum who work with Poly Viscose to make kilts. Rocky and Pete (MacHummel) for instance are both very experienced in making kilts from PV and would be well worth sending a PM to.

hospitaller,
FYI: The PV material works pretty well for a knife pleated kilt, the material is probably too light to work well for a box-pleated kilt.
Cheers

aye, thanks for this information, I'll be sure to get in touch with them as soon as I get the fabric then.

thanks again, only being familiar with SWK material and my WWII reenacting wool uniforms, I cant say that I am familiar with the PV material as far as density, sway factor, pleat capacity, etc. so I take your advice gleefully.

Since i've already got an Xmarks kilt in 16oz (Well, i dont have it, it's 'in the queue' for a boxpleat by Matt Newsome) I voted for the PV, so i could get another variant of the same at a lesser price. That said, i love 16oz wool =P

As much as I would like to have a wool kilt in the collection, I went with the PV option. Like everyone else I have to wait until the money is plentiful again.

Well, I was thinking 13 oz wool, but it seems we may get the PV. Oh, well, it costs less.
