Hello and a warm Celtic from Boston, Massachusetts.
Whatever you choose to wear is up to you. There are no Glengarry Police. Even if there were a 2-1/2" line would wash out the problem. As Jamie has said wear it with a slight tilt. It will give off great vibes.
Enjoy

Aye, wear it if you like to and wear it well and often.
I am a man of many hats and always enjoy wearing them
If anyone at the boozer takes a piss at you , tell' em you won it, in a Malt Whisky
drinkin' contest in Bonnie Scotland against the famed P1M.
Your next purchase should be a Scottish T-shirt or a bigger bunnet to pass around to all your mates, for a collection fund for your kilt. Keep saving your wee pennies!

Of course, not every Scottish regiment wore a diced glengarry.

Wear the Glengarry with pride! I wore a Balmoral off & on for four decades before I discovered that there were kilts I could afford. In all that time the only objection I received was from a single kilt policeman who demanded to know my name. I told that because he did not recognize my clan badge I was sure he would not recognize my name either. That shut him up.

I'm going to buy my glengarry today. Ive heard that you should get it one size up from your ballcap size. My buddy thats a piper and fellow firefighter told me that I should get a diced cap since I was in the military but I know there are some debates regarding that issue. I'm also gonna get the MacMillan Clan Badge since thats the first kilt I'll most likely buy.
Thanks for everyones help and input!
