Looks good to me... Of course, it would look better with a smile!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

    looking good!

J, since you live close enough to Louisville, you may want to attend our Black Watch lunch next Tuesday at O'Shea and mingle with a few other kilties in our area?

Q: is the wearing of the "flash" considered more than casual??

Q: When is it appropriate to have a Sgian Dubh??

Q:Should a sporran be worn most times??

    Q:Wide belt? belt w/ sporran??

    Thanks guys!!

First, repeat after me. "Its clothes, not costume." Meaning you can dress as you like, this isn't a rules type thing, people have different styles.

I personally usually only wear flashes if I'm wearing shoes, not boots (and when casual I usually wear boots.)

I generally only wear a sgian when I'm going to be with other kilt wearers, or am dressed more formally. (I know a full-time kilt wearer that always wears flashes and a sgian.)

I always wear a sporran with a traditionally styled kilt (and a wide belt unless I'm wearing a vest or sweater), but you don't have to. (Riverkilt often wears photographer- style vests to hold his stuff).

Again, the point is doing what's right for you.

If you haven't already, you might want to look at the pics in the style threads, to see what others wear when they go causal, and decided what you think looks good for your lifestyle.

    Best regards,

    Jake
