The Philadelphia Folk Festival* is held in August each year near USAK and AK.
AK was a vendor last year (and I think in a prior year). That’s where I got my first kilt.
The event is a large Folk Music Festival – many thousands of attendees.
Very hippy-dippy. More like the original Woodstock festival than anything else still around.
So every style of clothing that you can imagine is worn, and more than a little on the costumed side.
Man skirts. Sarongs. Togas. Ren Fair outfits. Biker. Lots of tie-dye.
And plenty of AKs and UKs and a few SKs. Usually too hot for much else.
Literally. In the campground some gents wear a UK – and that’s all!
Said all that to say this:
My daughter is organizing a Kilt Night for Friday night in the campground.
Meet at camping HQ. Time to be determined – probably at dusk.
A dozen folks in their own kilts are expected.
We will also have a half-dozen economy kilts to lend.
All are welcome!
