I got me another tank!
Yesterday I arrived home to find a box on my doorstep, I knew what it was, and hurriedly opened it. Inside I found a new 8 yard, 13 ounce, hand-sewn kilt in the red and green MacGregor modern tartan - I was as giddy as a schoolboy.
This tank fits great and I love my family tartan. Sorry about the day-late pics, but I had to show it off to some friends.
This is me:

Me again:

This kilt is from The Scotland Yard and they remain one of the few companies to which I still refer others due to their exemplary service and product quality.
I'm already looking at tartans for my next kilt.. this addiction sure has a strong hold on me.

Congratulations on the new kilt, glad they made it right, one of the earmarks of a good company is how they treat you when there is a problem.

Your family tartan is a good strong sett. I really like the MacGregor (particularly in the modern hue) tartan.

Beautiful kilt.
Judging from the quality of the pleatwork they hire some well qualified kiltmakers.

Yes, this is an example of the outstanding quality I have received from them over the years. If you're looking straight at the back of the kilt, you can barely even see the belt loops. The buckles attachments are very well aligned and the pleats are sharp. This thing is awesome.

Well, cousin, I have been avoiding MacGregor because I'm not wild about the tartan, but that kilt looks quite good and it looks good on you. I might be persuaded to get one some day.
Regards,
Rex.
