OK, looks like I'll be set once I get my kilt, black belt, and black sporran, but here's another question.

Folks are recommending wearing the hose/stockings scrunched down with combat boots. Is it ok to wear a knife[skean dubh(sp?)] tucked into a scrunched down stocking, or should one forgo the knife if not wearing flashes, or should one just forgo the knife all together?

PS- the wife has OK'ed the kilt purchase, now just have to wait for payday

Conrats with the wife, she will love it.
I personally don't wear the flashes or sgian dubh wit hose down but it is all personal choice Just wear what looks good to you ( I mean your wife ) and life will be good.

Wow!!

The firewall at work blocks the majority of pictures on the site, so I haven't been able to see the pics posted for examples. Now that I'm at home, while it takes forever to download the pictures over dial-up, it's well worth the wait. Those are some really sharp looking kilts. I hope to look half as good when I get mine. It's also got me wondering if I can talk my AIC into letting me wear my kilt to work, as long as I have on my duty belt...I'll have to work out a good way to ask him that would be received well. After I'm comfortable in the kilt of course

I do have one question regarding the pics though. That one of the gentleman in the black/white/gray/night camo. Those pleats are going all across the front, with no apron, is that normal, or acceptable? I have to say, it makes me think more of a skirt than a kilt, and I'm not sure I could wear something like that.....
