    very good looking, how deep are your pleats?

    I made mine on my wool tank 4" deep and 1" reveal.

    Thanks! They're about 3.75" deep and about 0.77" reveal. I based the pleat size on what lines were visible to me to put the folds to stitch. And given the sett size and the pleat size, I back-calculated the number of pleats that I'd need.

    This is me about to go out to square dancing.




    Well, at the dance, I had a lot of people come up to me and inspect my Stewart Gray tartan kilt and had nothing but good things to say. They liked my color coordination.
    I've read about people recommending ditching the white socks/hose in favor of anything but white in almost any kilt combination (except formal wear). So I was happy to know that I had this pair available (the one in the pic). Most (if not all) of my socks are black or white.

    Wow, that is a great looking kilt. Very good work for it to only be your 4th. (says the guy who can't sew buttons on)
