Old news... At this point I think we're all just waiting to see the outcome of his proposal at the mail carriers' conference.

I hope that his proposal is accepted.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

So does my mail carrier. He told me about this a couple months ago.

Unfortuately, as was already posted here, it wasn't.
But he says that he will keep up the fight! Let's hope that he gets another big rebate from the government next year for that.

Are you refering to the rebate that we all got? I'm a mail carrier, and I didn't get any separate "big rebate from the government", so I'm not sure what the connection is....

Yeah Galician is referring to the one we all got. Apparently he had spent quite a bit of his refund on this proposal.
Really too bad it wasn't accepted.

Understood! As a mailman, I'm disappointed - but not surprised the resolution died. We still have some old-timers who resent female carriers...!
