Colquhoun Casual Arrives!
So, after patiently waiting for my graduation gift to myself, my 2nd kilt finally arrived yesterday!! After seeing if saving the extra $100 or so was worth it, I'd say it was. The casual is exactly the kind of kilt I could use right now and I'm very, VERY, pleased with it. I was surprised at the amazing difference(s) between it and my SWK standard, but, then again, I suppose that should be expected. The sizing is just right and the velcro (which I was concerned about) is exceptionally versatile, I'll be able to wear the USAK casual so often in college. Due to the costs of college though, I regret to say this will probably be my last kilt for awhile... but that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop keeping a "to get" list.
Thanks so much everyone at USA Kilts, and I shall try to get some casual kilted pics up soon, but I'm hoping for a new pair of red hose that my mother is currently almost done knitting. (speaking of which, with the faint hint of red in the Colquhoun tartan, against the teals/greens/blues, do you guys think the red hose might look acceptable with it?)
Once again, THANK YOU; and that goes A LOT to Mac, great job on it, I'm very pleased (could you tell?)

Congratulations! That is a beautiful tartan, we'll anxiously await pictures.
and I would say that red hose are mandatory. Of course the blues, greens, oatmeal are all good choices as well; the red will give you a sharp look when you want it.
Don't you think it will complement your SWK nicely? The casual is a fantastic summer kilt.

Ahh, I went in it to a big car show today at a train museum near where we live and it is PERFECT for this sort of weather.
Plus... the hose got finished and I wore them today.
We got a few pictures before the camera's batteries died I think so I should be able to have some soon, don't know about the quality though.
was a good day, and a great outing. Turns out one of the guys in one of our car clubs is a retired piper even!
