One of the best lines our dear Turpin had was when Jackie (our waitress and a bonny lass) walked up to ask about our kilts and why we were wearing them. After a few minutes of conversation Turpin asked "would you like to join us for some great SEKS?"
The poor lady was stunned and asked "What did you just say??!!"
To which Turpin calmly replied "SEKS 'the south eastern kilt society', what did you think I asked??" with a very straight face.
The poor girl could decide whether to gasp, laugh or slap him.... so she walked away fanning herself, laughing and blushing.
Mind you, the night went down hill from there....
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
