    Irish Road Bowling

Have never been much interested in golf, but Irish Road Bowling looks like a blast! It's getting more and more popular in N. America in recent years. I even saw a news clip a while back that showed some bowlers playing kilted!
These West Virginia guys are the ones that really got the sport going here in the US: http://www.wvirishroadbowling.com/ ...and there are now associations is New York and Boston as well....

I've seen that sport on various television shows over the years. I never realized anyone played it outside of Ireland. It looks like a lot of fun but you have to have a loooong stretch of empty road to play. Maybe we can get a Southern Tier league going.

There are lots of appropriate stretches of rural road around here! It WOULD be fun to get some folks together to try it....

The roads in and around around Chenango Valley State Park are particularly picturesque. Maybe we could convince the park police...

I've seen it on TV, but have never seen it live, here or in Ireland. It does look fun though!
