I'm ba-a-a-a-ack!!!
Wow, you all followed along!
That little jaunt 200 miles north in one night, early in the race is a goof on my part in reporting my position over the radio.
Believe it or not I haven't actually checked out my finishing position fleet-wide, yet. I thought I might save my handicap time on Warriors Wish, but I didn't push quite hard enough. What ACTUALLY happened was that I realized about four days out that no matter what I did I was making about 70 miles every 12 hours, and I opted for a dawn finish over busting a gut, finishing at O dark-thirty, and still probably not saving my time on Don Gray.
It was a wonderful experience, a real dream come true. THANK YOU all for following along, I'm glad you enjoyed reading the blogs and following our charted positions!
I've got a new belt buckle!

BTW, that drink was Guinness, and I attended both the Farewell Dinner and the awards dinner, kilted!
One of Joans Christmas presents to me last year was a drink of my choice at the Tahiti Nui. That's the bar in Hanalei. My drink of choice?
Three fingers of Johnnie Walker Black Label!
