Went to contest a Parking Ticket Kilted
And there was a high counter behind which there was this young woman, who was the Deputy City Clerk, so while im writing up the contest form, a senior woman walks in to pay her own parking ticket.
So she immediately goes 'oh we have a scotsman here, how nice', so I replied that indeed, im 'scots' thanks to my mother's lineage and the other half is a mix of german and spagniard.
So she asks about my non existent scot brogue, so I explained that I could fake it at will, so I did, I explained its as simple as using oo instead of u, stressing your R and raising your pitch as you end a sentence, so I said something to demonstrate and she chuckled and the clerk and another woman behind some files also laughed.
At this point that unseen woman stood up and walked out to see me in my kilt, to which the clerk got up as well, so here I am giving these ladies a show.
The senior lady is a retired teached and was telling me how she went to Scotland a few years back and how she found a specific kirk where her ancestors had gotten married and some other ancestors buried and so on.
A very nice chat, so I filled up my form, gave it to the clerk and she said she'd personally talk to the City attorney about my ticket, and she would give me a call about it (usually they just send you a letter within 30 days) by the end of this week.
So I can only take it as good news, and thanks to my kilt.
I proceeded to wish everyone well, nice to meet the senior lady and I leave.
As I was walking out of the office, 3 women came out of their own office headed for lunch and one of them asked me the somewhat typical 'where are you going dressed so nicely, a wedding?' thinking I was a piper, so I replied that 'no, just because its wednesday, I wear my kilts everyday', so she replied back 'well you do look nice, I like to see a man in a kilt', so of course I called the elevator, waited for them to join in, and as the doors re closing I said 'well thank you, I'll have to come more often then'
giggles and that was that.
A nice experience that I'm sure I would not have had if I'd been wearing trousers.

Being kilted has a knack, it does, for tickling the ladies' fancy!

Great story, and one you definitely wouldn't have been able to tell had you not been kilted.

A very good tale! But it parallels much of what I have experienced when wearing a kilt.
