Welcome Deeluxkilts,
I just flat gotta strongly disagree with your statement about polyviscose. Not wool for sure (I have 11 hand sewn wool kilts) but its the best there is for a non-wool fabric to use for kilts. Have owned 22 Polyviscose kilts and can speak from experience.
Assuming you're not mixing up acrylic with polyviscose. If you meant acrylic then I'd agree with you.

I have over thirty kilts made from many materials: acrylic, cotton, cotton/poly, cotton duck, denim, leather, PV and wool. IMHO the last two are, by far, the best materials with which to make kilts. (And they were the only two options on this poll.) They win on looks, on comfort and on durability. OK cotton duck might be more durable but it, like denim, really shows its age. I've got a few 30 to 50 year old tanks that look nearly new. There is one intrepid hiker on this forum who can attest to PV's lasting ability. In terms of comfort and luxurious feel, my PV's beat the pants off all my other kilts, even the wool ones (though by a closer margin). I voted for PV and I say let 'er rip, Steve. That'll be about three yards of the good stuff.
I've kilt for less.

So has there been a final decision on this yet or are we still waiting on votes? I suppose I could just PM the Wizard but this works as well.

The 9th...that's like three days or something. I don't think I can wait.

Indeed it did. I have sent a fabric swatch and thread count to Marton Mills and am awaiting their note that confirms it has arrived.
About ten minutes after I hear from them I will post that the ordering process will start.
