    Thanks for all the great comments. Today I got bored so I added some tassels to it. I took some of the waxed linen thread that I have and twisted it into a four strand cord. From there I punched some holes in the front of the sporran and threaded my newly made cordage through. I then braided them into a 4 strand round braid that I finished with a turks head knot. For the actual tassel I untwisted the rope into its individual threads.

    I am gonna keep these for now, but when I get some money may get some leather cord to replace them. What do ya'll think?







    BTW the leather I used came from the scrap bin at my local leather shop. They sell it by the pound and often have pieces large enough for project like this.
