I had gent turn around to see me behind him one day "You're not Jamaican? Are you?" He quieried well the sarcazm was dripping from him and we had a good laugh about it.

I can't count the number of times someone has come up to us in shops when in America and asked if we are from England. After the totally blank looks when we say we are from Scotland (Gee where is that?) we gave up on that and now ask "Are you from Canada then?". It seems to provoke a more meaningful discussion on national distinctions.
