Thanks again Alan H for the xkilt manual!
I added the emphasis, above.... That's Perfect. That's exactly what I had in mind. The manual is a guide, but really what it is, is a kick in the keister to get folks going on the project which in the end isn't really all that hard. You figured out stuff on your own, and you had another reference to look into when you were confused. Upshot is, you have an X-Kilt to wear and you know a lot about kilts now.
That's Success.
You just thanked me, but in fact I should be thanking YOU......anyway, you're welcome.

Hey, could you say that again?

Now Alan, I'm still not quite sure. How do you REALLY feel?

We love you Alan! Mostly because we always know how you feel. I personally love you, because you force me to chill, stop reading the maual 15 times, and JUST DO IT!
There's a saying I remember from vet school (but applicable to pretty much every learning experience): See one, do one, teach one.
It applies to everything we do. I've still only made 2 X-Kilts (and a few X-Skirts), but just the process of posting details has fixed it indelibly in my mind.
Alan-welcome back!
Be well,
Star

I'm thankful Alan.
My first was bad, my second was better, and my third was too small and light. I spent about 40$ total on all of it.
Now I have a tank and I'm ready to make another x-kilt.

P.S. - I also really enjoyed the personal touches you put into the manual. It made it all the more fun to read. I just gotta get the fiancee to read it so she can start making me kilts.
