I haven't had any problems. I'm not a full time kilt wearer but I wear it fairly often. We'll have to get together and have a kilt night somewhere. I'm up near Huntsville, so only an hour or so away from B'ham.

Galician, I know there are a lot of Scots and Irish in this part of the world. Do you know what area it was specifically? I'd bet it was in east Alabama in the Appalachian foothills.

Unfortunately the only clue given was that it was a plateau in northern Alabama. Would that be the foothills?

The Contemporary Kilts thread perhaps?
I can only note that I have a Survival, which I find great for summer wear, when I don't want to have to wear a sporran. The pockets can be overwhelming, but are soooo convenient.

Welcome from Mississippi! As somebody with "good ol' boy" running in his veins, we're not as bad as you might think. You will be pleasantly surprised.

    .
The Cumberland plateau, which is part of the Appalachian plateau, does run down through east Alabama and then across the central part of the state, towards Birmingham. It's the tail end of the Appalachian mountain range.

Back on topic though, I have the workman and like it but since you've already ordered the survival I'd recommend it to you!
