Panache's next kilt
So, I'm trying to decide what to buy my love to replace his Standard Stillwater Hunting Macleod (i.e. Macleod of Harris).
We were packing for Disneyland and he asked me, "How about this?", while holding up his frayed, bedraggled, pilled and generally unkempt looking kilt.
I gave him a piece of my mind about being seen in public with such a kilted man. He looked hurt and sad; talking about how he had taken it hiking, done live-action role-playing games in it; how he had taken it to Disneyland before; how it had served him well before in wind and sun, rain and fog; how it was his first real tartan kilt; a trusted companion.
I could go on, but I won't, seeing as how I am not him.
So, what should we buy him, for a general, knock-about, hiking and grocery shopping kilt?
See the poll, let me know.
Be well,

I'm a fan of the Black Stewart as well.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

This one took me a couple of minutes to decide... I almost voted Nightstalker, I want to get one for my hubby. He currently has a Black Stewart and I have to admit, it's a very handsome tartan and I'd like to make sure he always has one (in case he outgrows this one too much or it gets too beat up to wear). I went with that one, especially since it's your favorite too! It is a nice one

Let me make this clear....MY favorite, not necessarily his (although he is not opposed to it).
He wanted Gordon, or Irish National.
I vetoed those options.

I like the Black Stewart too. Been thinking of getting one for myself, perhaps. Made one for my son, and he has worn it to school a couple of times last year. I though that was courageous of him, considering he was in the seventh grade.
I voted Black Stewart, obviously.
When next I am in California to visit the in-laws (who are here for the Iowa Sate Fair at the moment, but almost your neighbors), I'd like to meet you two.
If you didn't mind/had time, etc..

She likes the Black Stewart, so that's what he's going to end up wearing. I know how these things work. It probably looks better on him and that's why she likes it. Probably time to start picking out which color of hose to go with it... Gray or black...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
