Is it OK to wear a dress tartan casually?

A kilt is a garment that you can take from formal to casual, no matter what the tartan. It all depends on how you accessorize it.

Not to hijack the thread anymore than I did, I think you should wear it. You wanted to enjoy the rare sunshine and do it in style. Nothing wrong with making a kilt less causal than normal wear.

I see no reason why not, I have been known to wear my Dress MacDonald in an informal manner, although at first I too was hesitant
