Ummm. North Dakota is north of which border? I'm married to a Canadian and trust me, the northern borders of the US are not the end of the world.

North Dakota is not even north of THAT border.

(edit: okay okay; NORTH of North Dakota you have the Manitoba Prairies and it's pretty barren but you can still find a pub if you look hard enough.

Let me explain: there is a lot of sparsely populated land in the north of north america. Most of the kilties are in the south of Cananda, not all, but most.

I guess the center of population would be best. Any guesses where that is?

My guess would be a little further to the north of the middle of the USA.
