Kilts in a courthouse?

I have worn kilts in state and federal court rooms and no one said a word - and I didn't bother to ask ahead of time. It's not violating any laws so I would think it would be fine without asking.

Would seem much like an Indian woman showing up in a sari or an African gentleman showing up in a dashiki.

If the courts won't honor diversity, who will?
